My Story
August 2011 - My aunt had just joined this wonderful company and I had just moved to Hawaii to be with my husband who is in the Marines. I didn't have many friends and I didn't know many people. She asked me to host an online party and it did better than I thought it would! I knew nothing about the product, but was definitely interested in some free stuff! I let my aunt pick the products that I had earned and when they arrived at my home in Hawaii, I was more than excited to see what Scentsy was all about. I plugged in my "Maize" warmer and warmed my "Pumpkin Marshmallow" scent and I was hooked from then on! September 2011 - I spent the BEST $99 of my life and joined the Scentsy Family under my aunt. I didn't join to make a business out of it, but joined to get more free items and purchase things from myself at a discounted price. Never in a million years did I think this would turn into such an adventure for me. December 2011 - I received the first recruit on my team and did a fundraiser for a friend that did over $1,000 in sales. These two instances lit a fire in me and I knew I wanted to see this business through, but I didn't really know how! March 2012 - A friend of mine hosted my first ever in home party for me. I was super nervous and had worked very hard on my product display. Besides a few bumps in the road, the party did around $800 in sales. From there on out, I was hooked! Soon after, my team began to grow, slowly but surely. I spread the word more and more and began doing more online/in home parties and fundraisers for amazing causes. July 2012 - I traveled from Hawaii to Las Vegas for my first time visiting "Sin City". Scentsy was holding their annual convention there and I couldn't wait to meet some of my team, who are all back home on the East Coast with my aunt! I had the BEST week of my life there. If I thought I had been serious about my business before, this convention turned Scentsy into my passion. I was able to learn things that I didn't expect to learn, meet a lot of my team, and create bonds that will last forever. From that week on, I vowed to myself that I would never, ever miss another Scentsy Family event and I would encourage my team to never miss one, either! August 2012 - I returned home with all of the things I had learned. I was determined to win a spot on the Incentive trip that would take me to Costa Rica for FREE! I was going to try my best, but never in a million years did I think I would win this trip of a lifetime. I set up a fundraiser for a friend who had brain cancer. To my surprise, her fundraiser did over $6,000 in sales and I was able to give her so much more than I could have ever imagined. I was very proud of myself and even more set on earning this trip! January 2013 - 6 months later, and around 10 new recruits to my team, I earned my trip to Costa Rica! But it doesn't stop there - I earned enough points in sales and recruiting that I earned a trip for my husband as well. A trip that has a price tag of over $6,000 and my husband and I are going this summer for FREE! I am also looking forward to another Scentsy Family Convention in July in Indianapolis! I am ready to boost my sales and grow my team even more. March 2013 - After a month of nail-biting, on the night of March 31st, I checked the workstation and scared my husband when I started screaming my head off...I had made Director thanks to my awesome team! I was now officially a leader :) Ever since then, we have made our goal of $10,000 in sales every month and we are still rockin'! Now I need two of my own Directors to move up to Star. Could this be you?! May 2013 - I went on the honeymoon that I NEVER had with my husband and had the time of my life. We didn't pay a dime for any of it and I couldn't have asked for a better trip. Costa Rica was beautiful and it taught me to really live "Pura Vida" and not to worry. I am so blessed to have earned this trip for myself and my husband and I can't wait to work towards earning another one! July 2013 - Thanks to Scentsy Family Talent Contest I was able to sing on stage at the Scentsy Family Reunion in front of 8,000 people! Did I mention I also got to open up for Kelly Clarkson?! My journey with this family just keeps getting better and better. This girl? Is on fire ;) August 2013 - Another Scentsy incentive trip period has begun! This time, we had three different levels of trips, with the Top 100 consultants going to Greece. My dream had always been to visit this country, but I thought there was no way that I could earn enough points to get to the TOP! To my surprise, though, I actually blew the points out of the water and was blessed to call myself part of the TOP 100 going to Greece in May of 2014! January 2014 - I enjoyed a nice Christmas home with my family and then flew to Cancun shortly after, before returning to Hawaii, to go to Leadership training! Most relaxing week and I learned so much. Plus I got to spend more time with my aunt and my team dancing the night away! This is a trip that is up for grabs every year and I am looking forward to going again next year. May 2014 - My husband and I just got home from our trip to Greece and I have to say that I had the time of my life. It was a much more intimate trip with only around 100 people plus their one guest. We stayed in the top hotels in the country and got to visit Athens and the gorgeous island of Mykonos. The first few days were filled with history as we visited the Parthenon while the last few days were spent lounging on the beach and taking Jeep tours around the island. I have almost been with this company for three years now and it blows my mind how many places I have been, how many friends I have met, and how many amazing memories I have made. Never in a million years did I think within two and a half years that I would have accomplished so much in this company. My team now stretches across nineteen different states and we have accomplished so much together! I know one day that I will be one of the elite leaders in this company. I strive to have the best customer service and to be the best sponsor that I can be. Scentsy has truly been a blessing to me and I can't wait to see where this journey takes me in the future.
